My name is Jose Manuel Marquez Gatica

I am a chef with more than 30 years of experience. My love for cooking began when I was very young at home with my mother.

She always liked to cook and vary her dishes to bring out new flavors and make them different and delicious.

I helped her when she couldn’t or needed me and she gave me freedom to create. Although I studied something not related to cooking, in my free time and vacations I worked in a restaurant owned by a family member or friend and there I made the decision to dedicate myself to cooking.

I have worked in various places as a kitchen manager or chef and owner such as the Almadén bullring hotel, Tapas d’Jerez, Churrería de Madrid and as chef of a private yacht in the Mediterranean.

One of my greatest motivations is to see people eat and enjoy my culinary creations.
